Although I have worked in the same group of businesses for over 20 years, I have seen and been involved in many changes during that time. Initially joining a company of 16 employees in August 2000, over the years the company expanded to employ over 150 people in Asia, Europe and the US. I have had a huge amount of experience in many areas whilst the company grew and diversified and eventually integrating all systems and processes into a larger group of companies.
During my time working in the Aviation industry, I have implemented, integrated and supported leasing, materials processing, stock control and distribution businesses as well as finance and operational performance enhancement and tracking systems.
Over this time, I have been involved in, and managed several system implementations across the various areas of the business, working with end users, internal/external stakeholders, consultants and suppliers to deliver successful projects on time and within budget. Many of these business systems remain at the core of the Willis businesses today.
I have had the opportunity to work in many areas of the world with differing cultures, setting up offices and working with suppliers in Asia, Europe and the US.
My roles have given me a wider business involvement, including working with users and business leaders to gain an understanding of the business and user requirements with technical support and knowledge to deliver business-wide solutions.
As a leader, I have built, developed and managed small teams of IT professionals to support businesses including IT infrastructure, systems development and application support teams providing “follow-the-sun” support for a wide range of systems.
